Merriweather Post Pavilion is located at 9999 Columbia Avenue in Columbia, Maryland. The entrance to the pavilion is located on the east side of the building. Parking is available onsite for $6 per hour. The pavilion does not have public transportation options, though if you are driving, be sure to follow the Pennsylvania Turnpike to I-270 West. Continue on to Columbia Avenue, where you will be directed to park and walk to the pavilion.

Merriweather Post Pavilion falls under the jurisdiction of the National Park Service. As such, you are required to purchase a ticket to the pavilion before you can enter. Tickets can be bought online or at the pavilion. If you’re visiting during the holiday season or during a special event, you may have to purchase additional tickets. The Pavilion has a capacity of 12,000 people, so be sure to purchase tickets before you visit. If you’d like to visit Merriweather Post Pavilion but you don’t want to purchase tickets ahead of time, you are allowed to purchase a day ticket at the pavilion. Visitors wishing to purchase a day ticket must arrive before 4:30 pm and be prepared to show identification before receiving a ticket. These tickets can be used for one day only and are not transferable. Additionally, you will be asked to show identification once again at the exit. Tickets can be purchased at the ticket window, the Merriweather Post Pavilion gift shop or online. Tickets are $18 for adults and $8 for children 6-12.

The pavilion is only open during the summer months, from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
